Here is our new Puppy. His name is Skippy, like the peanut butter. He is only 18 months old, and very sweet. He is supposed to be a Shi-Tzu, but his legs are very long, and his fur is all curly like a poodle, so I think he is a Shi-poo... whatever, he has the sweetest personality, and he already came with good manners. We rescued him on Saturday. He follows us everywhere, and even when we are outside, he never leaves our sides.

New Jersey has been ok so far. We are all getiing used to new things, Bijan and Mo started school and work on Tuesday of last week, and now have made friends already. I now can drive to Costco and Home Depot and the grocery store without using my GPS. But I still do not leave home without it.

Bijan has started the non competitive soccer in our town, and boy is it not like Los Gatos Rec. We have 3 teams to scrimage against. oh well we will get used to that too
I will send more updates as life passes us by in New Jersey.

D-day
Things are going well with the move. We have a departure date, on or around August 14th.

School is over for now
We have been on vacation for a week already. Bijan would rather be back at school with all his friends, but we make do. Our camping trip to Gualala was canceled due to weather. It was going to be very cold up there, so instead we are doing fun and exciting things around home. Today we have bowling, movie and dinner planed. Tomorrow its fishing in Capitola, and Sunday is brunch for the dads.

We are in third place!
Little League season for us has ended. For the season we were in 5th place, but during playoffs, we managed to move up to third. The boys did a great job, and Bijan enjoyed his season. Now come the parties.
News on the other fronts, we are almost there with the new house, and I am officially unemployed. My elementary library days are over.... I am very sad. I don't want to say goodbye to them just yet.
We are down to two months before the big move...

Optimism pays off
We have now made it past the inspections.... a few minor things came up and one not so minor. Looks like we have to work on a new driveway. Otherwise we have ourselves a beautiful house.

Next step, Inspections

I am being cautiously optimistic about this. We have passed the law review on this house, and now we have to see what is and isn't wrong with this house. It comes with 2 acres of land... and a river in the back.

And we have another offer accepted.
More information once we pass the three day grace period before I post pictures.

You win some and you loose some, we lost the house from the last post, and now we are weighing our options. We will keep you posted.

We are moving to Jersey...

Our offer was finally accepted. We looked at over 50 house. Some were very charming and others were just ok, and some were unbelievably ugly. We quickly dwindled our list down to 4 homes, and we offered on our top choice.
This house sits on a hill, it has seasonal view of a lake.
Hope we will have some visitors once we move in

Here we were last weekend at Heavenly. This was our last trip here for a long time I'm sure. Sorry that it is shaky, but I was going top speed, with no glove on, in 20 degree weather. What a rush. I love this run, no one is ever on it, it has just the right amount of slope to give you a good amount of speed, and then you get to take a nap on the super slow lift on the way back up. The lift takes about 13 minutes, and the run takes you only 3 minutes...

We are enjoying our last bit of winter here because next year will be a completely different story. We will not have blooms the size of "us" by this time of year.
5 months and counting. In April we are going to visit our new state for a serious visit. We will write more as we know it

Birthday and Homework
So this weekend was a bit on the busy side... It started out with Baseball on Saturday at 9 a. m., then we had a Soccer game, and then we had Bijan's 12th Birthday party. This year he decided to have one. He wanted to have Dinner and a Movie with his closest friends. So we went to Chevy's and then watched the Pink Panther 2.
Sunday was our 17th anniversary, and we had to be at a 9 a. m. Soccer game. Nothing like sports all weekend long. We ended the day with a nice dinner at home.

The weather is changing for us this week we had almost an inch of rain this weekend, and we have a whole lot more coming this week.
Just in time for us to go skiing this weekend for our President's weekend.

Not Guilty
This could not have been a better outcome. After the jury decided that we were hung, we had a clarification on a critical piece of evidence, and that turned the rest of the jury to the not guilty vote. There was just not enough believable evidence.
I am so glad this is over, now its time to get back to my life again.
Superbowl party here we come

Jury duty
uggh, I had to wait for 3 1/2 hours before we were ushered into the court room.

Guess what time of year it is
Not only is it January and we are having 70 degree weather, but we also had baseball tryouts Saturday

This past weekend we had a great weekend skiing at Dodge Ridge. It was so warm, you could ski in short sleeves. Bijan took up snow-boarding, and now will tell you that he will never attempt it again. He prefers skiing. At least he tried it, and now he can choose between the two.

After Christmas, we headed to Los Angeles to visit Mo's family. During our stay there, we had to say hello to Mickey. He sends his greetings.
